One of the first questions most people ask when they find they need dental treatment is "How much will it cost?"
We understand your concerns, and we want to do everything possible to accommodate your needs.
Insurance
The ins and outs of dental insurance can be tricky to navigate. Not to worry! At Brazos Dental Associates, we have a dedicated Financial Coordinator who is here specifically to help you with your insurance needs. Michelle has worked with many different insurance plans and companies, and if she doesn't immediately know the answer, she'll contact your insurance company. You can trust that we take your insurance and financial needs seriously!
In-network, we accept Blue Cross/Blue Shield. A few of the out-of-network PPOs we accept are Delta (including Texas A&M), MetLife, Cigna, and many more. Please contact our office for more information or to check on your specific insurance.
Other Forms of Payment
At Brazos Dental Associates, we're pleased to accept cash, debit cards, checks, and MasterCard, Visa, and Discover.
While dental insurance is a great benefit to receiving dental care, most insurances place restrictions on reimbursement for care received, such as deductibles, co-pays, and annual maximums. Our office staff has decades of experience in understanding and explaining your individual insurance plans so you can maximize this useful resource.
Your first appointment at Brazos Dental Associates sets the stage for our continued dental relationship. First impressions are important, and we want you to be completely comfortable with us. In addition, the initial exam will provide us both with an overview of the condition of your oral health and allow us to develop a plan for treatment that is customized precisely for your needs.
We generally plan two hours for an initial exam and cleaning. Dr. Rychetsky uses the time to:
- Review your medical and dental history
- Take digital x-rays as needed
- Chart your teeth and existing restorations
- Talk to you about your chief concerns
Dr. Rychetksy then assesses developing cavities and will review with you any needed dental work. This includes the general overall health of your mouth to check for gum disease, cavities, oral cancer, and any problems developing with your TMJ muscles. While most patients go on to have their regular preventive cleaning at this time, patients who have gum disease will be scheduled to come back for deep cleanings specifically designed to address the condition.
Is it time for your next check-up and cleaning? Please call our College Station dental office, and we'll be happy to arrange a convenient appointment.
Dental x-rays are an important diagnostic tool. They have been used safely for years to diagnose such problems as cavities, bone and gum disease, and even tumors that couldn’t otherwise be identified. Regarding the safety of x-rays in general, it’s important to realize that you are constantly exposed to some level of radiation from sources like the sun, minerals in soil, and even your microwave.
At Brazos Dental Associates, we do not use traditional x-rays. Instead, we use state-of-the-art digital radiography. This updated version gives us finely detailed images of your teeth that help direct us us about making important decisions about your dental care. We prefer to use digital x-rays because they reduce your exposure, eliminate the need for traditional films, and are safer for the environment.
How often we take x-rays depends on your dental history and current condition. For some patients, it may be necessary to take x-rays twice a year. Some patients who see us regularly and don't have a history of chronic oral health problems and gum disease may only need x-rays every few years. If you're a new patient to our practice, we may take digital x-rays as part of your first exam for a baseline that will allow us to monitor changes to your oral health in the future.
Your safety and comfort are very important to us, and you are always welcome to talk to us about your concerns. Please contact us if you have questions or would like to schedule your next dental exam and cleaning.
We know that fear of dental pain is a huge problem for many people. It may be so severe that you tend to avoid visits to the dentist altogether.
We understand your feelings, but the team at Brazos Dental Associates would like to show you that dentistry is nothing to be afraid of, especially when you’re being cared for by professionals who are always focused on you and your complete comfort.
One of the ways we help you overcome your fear is by taking the time to get to know you. When you’re comfortable with the people who are treating you, you’re more likely to relax. Over time, we’ll work to develop the kind of relationship with you that builds trust and makes your dental care free of stress.
Dr. Rychetsky has been treating patients for over 15 years and stays current with all the latest techniques for making your treatment as comfortable as possible. Our team will support and encourage you throughout the process because we know you’ll feel more at ease when you know we’re looking out for your best interest.
